Website technology

Cookies,
without crumbs.

This policy explains the limited cookies used by doenit.com. The public website does not currently use analytics, advertising or marketing cookies.

Effective: 25 August 2026South AfricaPlain-language edition
Current public-site positionAs at 25 August 2026, a review of the public website’s response headers and delivered page code did not identify a cookie being set for an ordinary public visit or any third-party analytics, advertising or marketing script. WordPress uses necessary cookies when an authorised administrator accesses the login or administration areas.

01 — Basics

What cookies are.

Cookies are small text files placed on a device by a website. Related technologies may use local storage, pixels or scripts to remember a choice, protect a session, measure use or load third-party content. A cookie may be set by DoenIT’s domain or by a third party whose service appears on the site.

02 — Categories

How we use them.

  • Public website: we do not currently deploy analytics, advertising, behavioural-marketing or social-media tracking cookies for ordinary visitors.
  • Website administration: strictly necessary WordPress cookies authenticate authorised users, protect administrative sessions and remember administrator interface preferences.
  • Future functionality: if optional measurement, embedded content or marketing technologies are introduced, we will update this register and implement an appropriate preference or consent mechanism before or when they are activated.

We do not use cookies to sell personal information or build advertising profiles of public visitors.

Administrative cookies are not ordinarily set merely because a member of the public reads doenit.com. The register will be reviewed when plugins, hosting, embedded content, analytics or other website services change.

04 — Control

Your choices.

Because the public website does not currently deploy optional cookies, there is no separate cookie-preference panel. You can nevertheless delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking WordPress authentication cookies will prevent an authorised administrator from signing in or using parts of the administration interface, but should not prevent an ordinary visitor from reading the public website.

If optional cookies are added in future, the website will provide the information and controls appropriate to those technologies.

05 — Changes & contact

Keeping the register accurate.

We update this page when website technology or our use of cookies changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.

Questions about cookies or website privacy may be directed to DoenIT’s Information Officer.
