Managed cloud infrastructure

Cloud infrastructure managed
around the workload.

DoenIT designs, configures and operates practical cloud environments for websites, applications, databases and business workloads, using xneelo Cloud infrastructure where it is the right fit and making day-to-day technical responsibility clear.

The business problem

Self-service cloud still needs somebody to operate it.

Provisioning a virtual machine is only the beginning. Reliable operation depends on configuration, patching, monitoring, access, backups, recovery, capacity and a clear response path when something changes.

01

Unclear responsibility

The platform exists, but nobody owns operating-system updates, monitoring, recovery or day-to-day technical decisions.

02

Backup without recovery

Snapshots or copies are created without an agreed retention policy, restore process or independent off-site option.

03

Reactive maintenance

Capacity, certificates, storage and software are noticed only when they become urgent.

04

Cloud cost drift

Resources remain active or oversized because utilisation, purpose and ownership are not reviewed.

How DoenIT can help

Focused capability.
Useful outcomes.

Every engagement is shaped around the operation, the information and the decision that needs to improve.

01

Environment design and setup

Shape compute, storage, networking, access and deployment around the workload and service expectation.

02

Managed cloud operations

Handle agreed operating-system, service and platform administration for the customer environment.

03

Monitoring and maintenance

Track availability and capacity, apply agreed updates and respond to operational warnings.

04

Backup and recovery

Define backup frequency, retention and restoration, with optional copies held outside the primary environment.

05

Security and access hygiene

Manage administrative access, security groups, keys, certificates and practical hardening within the agreed scope.

06

Capacity and cost review

Review resource use, storage growth and service choices so the environment remains appropriate and understandable.

Relevant experience

One accountable operating layer over capable local infrastructure.

xneelo Cloud is a flexible, self-managed infrastructure platform. DoenIT can provide the management layer around the customer workload: architecture, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, backups and technical support, with the exact boundary documented for each service.

01

South African cloud infrastructure where appropriate

02

Application, database and website workload support

03

Documented backup, retention and restoration approach

04

Clear division of provider, DoenIT and customer responsibilities

A practical engagement

Start clearly.
Build deliberately.

A useful first phase creates evidence and momentum without pretending every answer is known in advance.

  1. 01

    Assess

Confirm the workload, dependencies, data, service expectation and current risks.

  2. 02

    Design

Choose an appropriate environment, operating model, backup policy and responsibility boundary.

  3. 03

    Transition

Configure or migrate carefully with validation, rollback and access controls.

  4. 04

    Manage

Monitor, maintain, report and improve the environment as its needs change.

Questions buyers ask

Useful answers,
before we talk.

Is xneelo Cloud itself a managed service?+

No. xneelo describes its Cloud product as self-managed infrastructure. Where it is selected, xneelo supplies the underlying platform and DoenIT provides the agreed management and operational service around your workload.

What can be hosted?+

Depending on technical fit, the environment can support websites, web applications, databases, development environments, APIs and other Linux-based business workloads. Compatibility and sizing are confirmed during the review.

Are backups included?+

The managed service includes an agreed backup and retention policy appropriate to the workload. Optional independent off-site copies can be added where an additional separation layer is required.

Who responds when something goes wrong?+

The service schedule identifies the contact route, monitoring scope, response expectations and which issues belong to DoenIT, the infrastructure provider or the customer.

Does managed cloud guarantee that a system will never be unavailable?+

No provider can responsibly promise that. We design for the agreed service need, reduce avoidable operational risk and document recovery and escalation rather than implying zero downtime.
