Data platforms, reporting and analytics

Turn years of data into
decisions people can use.

DoenIT brings fragmented operational and financial data together, improves its structure and builds reporting that helps organisations compare periods, providers, costs, utilisation and performance.

The business problem

More data does not automatically create a clearer answer.

Useful reporting depends on consistent definitions, traceable sources and a model that reflects the real business question. A beautiful dashboard cannot rescue unclear or contradictory data.

01

Manual monthly reporting

People repeat the same extraction, cleanup and spreadsheet work every reporting cycle.

02

Conflicting versions

Teams calculate the same indicator differently and spend time debating which number is right.

03

History without context

Years of data exist, but comparisons across periods, providers or cost categories remain difficult.

04

Reports without action

Information is presented without showing the exception, trend or decision that needs attention.

How DoenIT can help

Focused capability.
Useful outcomes.

Every engagement is shaped around the operation, the information and the decision that needs to improve.

01

Data consolidation

Bring together information from databases, files and operational applications into a usable structure.

02

Reporting platforms

Repeatable reports and dashboards aligned to management, finance and operational questions.

03

Financial and period comparison

Compare years, service providers, costs, utilisation and other agreed indicators consistently.

04

Data quality controls

Make missing values, mismatches, unusual movements and definition problems visible.

05

Operational analytics

Reveal workload, turnaround, outcomes, exceptions and patterns in the underlying process.

06

Purpose-built analytical tools

Create focused interfaces for exploration when a generic dashboard is not enough.

Relevant experience

Reporting shaped by operational and financial reality.

We have worked with long-running datasets in managed healthcare and other complex environments, building tools for costing, utilisation, provider comparison, financial-year preparation, case activity and management reporting.

01

Multi-year financial and operational comparisons

02

Service-provider and costing indicators

03

Hospital and case-management reporting

04

Data-mining tools for large historical datasets

A practical engagement

Start clearly.
Build deliberately.

A useful first phase creates evidence and momentum without pretending every answer is known in advance.

  1. 01

    Question

Agree on the decision, audience and meaning of each important measure.

  2. 02

    Trace

Identify sources, ownership, quality gaps and the route from input to reported result.

  3. 03

    Model

Create consistent structures, definitions and comparison logic.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Build, validate and improve reports or analytical tools with the people who use them.

Questions buyers ask

Useful answers,
before we talk.

Can DoenIT work with data held in spreadsheets?+

Yes. Spreadsheets are often part of the starting point. We assess their structure, ownership and reliability before deciding whether to improve, automate or replace the process.

Do we need a large data warehouse first?+

Not always. The architecture should match the question, volume, sources, update frequency and growth path. A focused reporting layer may be the right first step.

Can you reproduce an existing management report?+

Yes, but we first confirm how every measure is defined and sourced. Rebuilding an unclear report without resolving its logic simply automates uncertainty.

Can reporting compare providers and financial years?+

Yes. This is an area of direct experience, including consistent period, provider, utilisation and costing comparisons across historical data.

How do you protect personal information in analytics?+

We consider purpose, minimisation, access, retention, transfer and appropriate de-identification or aggregation as part of the solution design. Legal interpretation remains the responsibility of qualified advisers and the organisation’s Information Officer.

Bring us the real problem

What should we make
work better?

Describe what is getting in the way, who it affects and what a better outcome would look like. We will help identify a sensible first conversation.
